mhmm.

life is full of light and shadow. joy and pain. and for some things there are no words, but when there are...here you go.

It’s Tuesday…well, Wednesday now I guess.

It’s 12:08 and I’ve definitely just finished super cleaning my room. It’s a good feeling to clean sometimes haha.

Also super encouraged, inspired, challenged. I’ve realized what a whiney mood I’ve been in lately. Complaining, about a lot of things. And the truth is even if those complaints are legit, dwelling on them does absolutely no good, and blinds my eyes to what’s really worth focusing on. Challenge—- when I’m bumming out about things that are frustrating me, the goal is to remind myself of at least 5 things I’m thankful for.

so today, with all my frustrations and distractions and craziness, I am thankful for:

—God’s grace

—SPANISH

—a family who encourages me to pursue the dreams I have in whatever ways I feel led

—the friends who are always there for me

—coffee :)

Hello Wednesday.

It’s a good day to be alive.

Just to take in every moment.

Just to realize that having a thankful heart instead of complaining REALLY changes perspective and attitude.

Just to breathe.

Yeah….just to breathe.

11:14pm

Because a relationship with Christ is something that is transforming, it is identity, it bridges the gap between what we were and who we are. His. Simply His. And that identity is one that extends into every area of life, because how can we separate the different parts of life from who we are ? His. Simply His. We are His. And He is making us who He created us to be. Loving Him. Being like Him. And so are heart is always looking more and more like His. Because that’s who we are. His. Simply His. And so in the mess of life and the lies that muddle our minds and hearts….in the chaos and the storms and the confusion that tries to block our vision….when we start believing that our identity as HIS does not define our very lives: beliefs, actions, thoughts- we’ve entered a dangerous place. But Jesus Christ is truth. Truth that clears our vision, broadens our minds. And we are His. Simply His. So Jesus come and renew Your people. Us who claim to follow You. Come and speak to each heart, whisper in each ear….with Your grace and Your truth and Your light and Your life and Your mercy. I don’t wanna flounder around in my opinions- I wanna have a heart like Yours, and a heart that is unshaken because it stands on Your Word. Jesus come and take blinders of our eyes, take blinders off my eyes. We just wanna be like You.

Because that’s who we are. Yours. Simply Yours.

YOU.

You are important.

You are worthy.

You are loved.

You are not broken beyond repair.

You are not messed up beyond restoration.

You are not a hopeless case.

You are not alone.

You are not forgotten.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream- and not make dreams your master;
If you can think- and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings- nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And- which is more- you’ll be a man, my son!

12:19pm.

Just got back from Israel last night. and I really miss it.

It’s funny how a trip to one country can be life changing in a lot of ways.

Story behind the project.

Video project a friend is working on !

Worth checking out.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

1:29am.

Love that pierces the prison of pain you’ve been hiding in.

Love that pierces through the dim vision of my doubt.

Love that counters fears of my future.

Love that holds your hand through the hardest night, the toughest fight.

Love that is true and love that is genuine.

Love that paid a price to set me free.

Love that won’t run when you’re run down.

Oh it’s a love that won’t stop.

It’s an endless love I’ve found in the arms of a God who won’t let me go.
